English is the most popular global language and therefore is the most dominant language in the business world. This is partly a legacy of the British Empire, but also partly due to the pervasive influence of British and, more so, American culture.

Apparently, close to 2 billion people around the world speak English at a useful level. Most conversations in English nowadays are between non-native speakers. It is an official language in 83 countries and is widely used in 55 others.

Business English is our bread and butter. We have clients who themselves have English-speaking clients; we have executives who hold their meetings and do their media work in English; we have whole teams working on projects with English-speaking clients; we have businesspeople who are preparing for an important presentation or conference or looking to further their career.
