As well as working with individual students, our core business is with corporate clients. Examples of what we do can be seen in the case studies below. Other examples include clients in machine learning, in the financial industry, in the music industry, marketers, software developers, Human Resources staff, French Air Force, cyber-security specialists, nuclear engineers, landscape gardeners, NGO staff, footballers and rugby players, students studying for IELTS, TOEIC or Cambridge exams, amongst others.

Elastacloud Brazil (formerly codeHB)

We manage the entire English language programme for Elastacloud Brazil, a growing medium-sized Microsoft-partner software company with offices in Brazil, the UK, the USA, Spain, and India. Our students include executives, owners, software developers, and business and data analysts who work for Elastacloud’s international clients, including a FTSE 100 multinational. Our services include:

  • Level assessments of employees who want to take English classes.
  • Planning, creating, and delivering group classes of between two and six students, with a focus on both short-term goals (such as giving a presentation or attending an important meeting) and longer-term curriculum planning.
  • Managing the logistics and administration of the programme, including scheduling, planning, and delivering quarterly assessment projects, writing student evaluations, and providing monthly feedback and update sessions with the programme coordinator.

We believe that our services help Elastacloud’s employees to improve their English skills and to communicate more effectively with their colleagues and clients around the world. We are proud to be a long-term partner of Elastacloud and to help them achieve their business goals.

Case Study: A Business English programme for a leading UK-based healthcare recruitment agency expanding its operations in India.

Challenge: A healthcare company with a global workforce in the UK and India needed their employees to be able to communicate effectively in English, both internally and externally. We were tasked with developing the students’ confidence in several situations they would find themselves in at work.

Solution: We implemented an English language learning programme for numerous employees. The programme is delivered online, in groups and is self-paced. Employees are benefitting from a variety of different classes, from Business English to grammar, role-playing and reading and listening comprehension. We decided with the client to place an emphasis on speaking, through structure rather than simply as conversation.

Results: The English language learning programme has been a success for the client. Employees have reported feeling more confident in their ability to communicate in English, both on telephone calls with clients and in their day-to-day communication. The company has also seen an improvement in employee productivity and collaboration.

Benefits of English language learning for business professionals:

  • Improved communication skills

  • Increased confidence
  • Enhanced job performance
  • Improved ability to collaborate with colleagues and clients from other countries.

Disneyland Paris

We have had employees from various departments of Disneyland Paris, from Human Resources to restaurant staff to executives. The need for English competence in the company is great, considering a large proportion of visitors to the park are not French and a lot of the supply chain and business dealings are done in English.

Air France / KLM

We have helped pilots of Air France and KLM to achieve the necessary grade in their IACO AELTS tests, through Aviation-specific language and situations as well as a broader focus on areas like intonation and functional language, things imperative in their jobs.

Petrobras

Petrobras is a state-owned, multinational corporation in the petroleum industry. Consequently, meetings with contractors, presentations, reports etc are all done in English. We have helped executives and technicians develop their English proficiency, streamlining their processes.

CSN (Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional)

Working largely with the commodities, sales and procurement teams of the largest steel producer in Brazil, we have worked on negotiating skills and presentation and meeting language as contracts are mostly with international clients

Pôle Emploi

Pôle Emploi is a French governmental agency principally responsible for employment. It works closely with Erasmus, assisting French students and workers abroad. It has been in this area in which we have worked on presentation language, persuasive language and things like CVs.

Bentley

Bentley’s headquarters is based in Crewe, England but their cars are sold and fixed all over the world. Our students have regular contact with Crewe regarding the maintenance of cars and new models, so specific vocabulary and functional language are vital.

ICTS France

ICTS France provides security services and other personnel for airport management for screenings and inspections. English competence is mandatory within this industry, owing to the level of international flights and the fact English is the international language of aviation. We have worked on role-plays, job-specific language and general English with students.

Wevo

Wevo’s expansion to international clients meant English competence and proficiency was vital, so we have worked on presentation skills, pitching language and skills and a range of other business-specific areas, with, first and foremost, the founders and directors, and also software developers, marketers and support staff.
